More about Sondra
Sondra works with adults, teens, and young adults. She has extensive training and a special interest in working with couples and families to strengthen their relational connection. Sondra has completed Level 1 Training in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to couples therapy that emphasizes practical tools to deepen connection, manage conflict effectively, and build lasting relationships. She is also trained at Level 3 in Relational Life Therapy (RLT), a powerful and direct model, developed by Terry Real, for helping couples move beyond gridlock and reconnect through relational mindfulness and accountability. Sondra believes in whole person healing and exploring how past relationships impact the present. Sondra helps couples recognize patterns that strain their relationship and finds it rewarding when people learn to step out of old patterns and live more relationally. As a former educator, Sondra is passionate about teaching skills that strengthen bonds with others.
Additionally, Sondra is undergoing training in EMDR and feels it is a privilege to support people as they navigate through trauma, depression, and anxiety so people can find the freedom they are looking for to live more fulfilled lives driven by authenticity. Sondra incorporates DBT and CBT methods to inform her work with clients. She welcomes clients from all backgrounds and utilizes a collaborative approach to create a safe, supportive environment for healing and growth.
Sondra lives in the Atlanta area with her husband David, and their two teenage daughters. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoys running with her women’s running group, hiking, traveling, nutrition, and spending time with her 5-pound rescue chihuahua.
Sondra is under the supervision of Kirsten Banks, LPC, CPCS, CAI, CIP.
