Sondra Rice, MA.Ed.

Master's Level Intern

Sondra is trained in EMDR, Gottman Method Level 1, and Relational Life Therapy (RLT) Level 3. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling at Concordia University and previously earned a Master’s in Educational Administration from Concordia. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.

More about Sondra

Sondra works with adults, teens, and young adults, with extensive training and a special interest in working with couples and families to strengthen their relational connection. She has completed Level 1 Training in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to couples therapy that provides practical tools to deepen connection, manage conflict effectively, and build lasting relationships. She is also trained at Level 3 in Relational Life Therapy (RLT), a powerful and direct model developed by Terry Real, which helps couples move beyond gridlock and reconnect through relational mindfulness and accountability.

Additionally, Sondra is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy proven effective in helping individuals heal from trauma. She feels it is a privilege to support people as they navigate through trauma, depression, and anxiety, and works to help them find freedom to live more fulfilled lives driven by authenticity. Sondra also incorporates DBT and CBT methods in her work, offering a collaborative approach to create a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth.

Sondra believes in whole-person healing and exploring how past relationships impact the present. She helps couples recognize patterns that strain their relationships and finds it rewarding when people step out of old cycles to live more relationally. As a former educator, she is passionate about teaching skills that strengthen bonds and connection with others.

Sondra lives in the Atlanta area with her husband, David, and their two teenage daughters. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoys running with her women’s running group, hiking, traveling, exploring nutrition, and spending time with her 5-pound rescue chihuahua.

Sondra is under the supervision of Kirsten Banks, LPC, CPCS, CAI, CIP.
