Kadilsha McNaughton, BA
Master’s Level Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
Anxiety | Trauma | Life Transitions | CBT | DBT | ACT | Spanish-Speaking Counselor
Kadilsha works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, interpersonal challenges, and major life transitions using trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches. She also has a strong interest in supporting athletes and high-performing individuals as they navigate the unique mental health challenges connected to performance pressure, identity, injury, transition, and emotional wellness. Her counseling approach is deeply relational, collaborative, and trauma-informed, prioritizing emotional safety, self-awareness, resilience, and practical growth to support meaningful and lasting change.
She believes healing often happens within safe, authentic relationships and that therapy should always be tailored to the individual, shaped by each client’s unique lived experiences, relationships, culture, and personal values. Kadilsha is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and empowered while also being challenged toward greater insight and personal growth.

Kadilsha integrates person-centered principles with evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through these approaches, she helps clients develop emotional regulation skills, increase cognitive flexibility, strengthen coping strategies, and reconnect with themselves through greater compassion and clarity. She is also fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to provide culturally responsive counseling services to a diverse range of individuals and families.
More about Kadilsha
Prior to her clinical training, Kadilsha served in various leadership roles at Victory Church, where she provided pastoral care and supported individuals and families through seasons of crisis, transition, and personal growth. These experiences deepened her passion for walking alongside people through difficult life circumstances while fostering hope, healing, and restoration.

Before transitioning into the counseling field, Kadilsha worked in public relations and brand development, where she collaborated with professional athletes and performers to help build and strengthen their personal brands. Her work included supporting several WNBA athletes in navigating the unique pressures and financial realities of women’s professional sports, helping them identify opportunities to expand their visibility, partnerships, and earning potential beyond athletics alone. These experiences gave her valuable insight into the emotional and psychological demands often placed on athletes, performers, and high-achieving individuals, which continues to inform her work with clients today.

Her extensive outreach experience with diverse populations, including individuals impacted by exploitation and trauma, has shaped her compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approach to care. Kadilsha understands the importance of meeting clients where they are while helping them move toward greater emotional health, confidence, and stability.

In the clinical space, she incorporates practical interventions such as grounding techniques, emotional regulation skill-building, values clarification, and cognitive restructuring to help clients navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence. She is especially passionate about helping clients strengthen self-awareness, process relational wounds, and build healthier connections with themselves and others.
Educational Background
Kadilsha is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at William James College in Newton, Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Public and Corporate Communications from Westfield State University in Westfield, Massachusetts.
Community Involvement
Driven by a deep commitment to advocacy, restoration, and public service, Kadilsha has actively supported marginalized populations through both local and international outreach initiatives. Internationally, she has led and participated in mission efforts including directing a women’s empowerment and leadership summit in Cuernavaca, Mexico, while supporting local recovery programs. She has also traveled to the Philippines with Wipe Every Tear, providing trauma-informed support for women and girls transitioning out of the sex trade.

Locally, Kadilsha previously served with Frontline Response’s “Princess Nights,” conducting trauma-sensitive street outreach, crisis intervention, and resource connection for individuals impacted by commercial sexual exploitation. She has also supported refugee families through her work with Envision Atlanta, helping foster stability, belonging, and connection within diverse multicultural communities.
