More about Catherine

Catherine holds master’s degrees in both teaching and professional counseling. Her first career was as a middle school teacher in Fulton County schools. After 5 years of teaching, she made the decision to become a mental health counselor and completed graduate school for the second time in 2002. Since that time, Catherine has worked as a clinician in community mental health, substance abuse prevention and treatment and addiction recovery.

She incorporates skills-based techniques to uncover and address limiting beliefs which create blocks to living life fully. Catherine uses body/mind techniques such as movement, breath work, biofeedback, and other sensory experiences, based on the stated needs of her clients, as well as Motivational Interviewing (sometimes referred to as Compassionate Conversation). She enjoys working with adults of all ages and has a passion for helping women during transitional stages of life.

In addition to a career as a mental health professional, Catherine has founded nonprofits and developed community programs around the world for two decades.  She is an active member of the international adoptive parent community and travels as often as possible. Catherine is the mother of 7 children and lives in Cumming Georgia.
